Women's Tennis Drops Tight Match to Southern New Hampshire, 5-4

Panthers win three in singles but only managed one win in doubles

Box Score

Manchester, N.H. -
The Adelphi University women's tennis team dropped a tightly-contest match by a 5-4 score at Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday. SNHU improves to 12-6 overall and remains undefeated at 9-0 in the league, while the Panthers are now 7-6 and 3-3 in conference play.

The Penmen jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles play by the No. 2 duo of Michelle Gurda and Samra Redzematovic battled to a 9-8 (7-4) decision to prevent the sweep.

The two sides proceeded to split singles play, but it would not be enough for the Panthers as SNHU took the top three slots for the victory. Joanna Haich, Redzematovic and Bianca Posa all prevailed in solo play against the regionally-regarded Penmen.

The Panthers return to action on Wednesday when they travel to The College of Saint Rose for an NE-10 match at 4 p.m.
