Nyack, N.Y. - Behind four players in double figures, the Adelphi University men's basketball team recorded a 73-61 victory at Nyack College on Thursday night. With the win, Adelphi improves to 2-6 overall with Nyack falls to 3-6. Tonight's contest was originally scheduled for December 10, but was postponed due to inclement weather.

Anthony Libroia led all Panthers with 19 points while Duane Morgan totaled 14. Greg Davis came off the bench to tally 12 points and went 4-8 from three-point range, while Damon Coleman was the final Adelphi player in double figures with 10 points. Nick Moore led Nyack with 19 points.

After Morgan was fouled by Frank Martin just 16 seconds into the game, the junior foreward made one of two from the line to give Adelphi a lead that they would never relinquish. From an 8-7 score, the Panthers went on a 14-0 run to expand their lead to 22-7 with 10:20 left in the half. The Warriors would get to within eight at 24-16, but would not get any closer as the Panthers outscored the home team 12-7 over the final five minutes to take a 36-23 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Edward Sullivan tallied both his buckets within 30 seconds of each other to put the Panthers at the 40-point mark with 17:07 to go. After being outscored 8-5 over the next minutes, a Davis three stopped the hosts' brief momentum and made the score 48-34 with 12:49 to go.

Nyack would get hot from behind the arc in the half, as the home team hit eight three-pointers in the second half. The hosts would pull within nine, 66-57, behind a Chris Hampton three with 1:59 remaining, but the Panthers would tally seven points over the final 1:43 to put the game on ice and come away with the victory.
