Elmwood Park, NJ - TheAdelphi University bowling team came away with a split decision on the final day of the 2013 Fairleigh Dickinson University Jamboree by defeating the Blackbirds of Long Island University before falling to the Hawks of the University of Maryland Eastern Shores. They took the tenth place title at the conlcusion of the tournament.
Adelphi keglers began their day with a exciting 194-193 game one win and a 195-195 tie before completing their mission with the two and a half game advantage for the win.
The Panthers then jumped out to a 2-1 game lead against the three-time NCAA Champion Hawks, but the tide and UMES took the next three games to shut the door at 4-2.
The Panthers completed the weekend 6-6 and move to 20-13 on the season. They are the defending Northeast Conference Champions and will compete in the first of three regular season NEC matches in Reading, PA on November 9-10.
