Manchester, NH –
The men's and women's cross country teams took on the rest of the Northeast-10 in the Conference Championships earlier this afternoon. Behind the efforts of seniors Nick Filippazzo and Elizabeth Eickelberg, the men garnered a fifth place finish while the women took home seventh.

Filippazzo was Adelphi's top runner on the men's side, setting a new personal best over 8,000 meters and earning a fourth place finish with a time of 25:12. His efforts earned him a spot on the All-Conference First-Team.

Ryan Healy was the next harrier from the Brown and Gold to cross the tape. He clocked in at a personal best of 26:20 and placed 22nd, just missing out on an All-Conference finish by one spot. Connor Dolan contributed 27 points toward the team scoring with his 26:40 performance.

William Marois and Gregory Bader rounded out the top-five as the duo finished just steps apart. Marois was 36th in 26:52 while Bader was 38th in 26:57. As a team, the Panthers recorded 120 points. Southern Connecticut placed fourth, American International was third, Franklin Pierce was the runner up while Stonehill took the team title. Michael Biwott was the overall victor of the race in 24:53.

On the women's side, Eickelberg led the way as she has been all year. She secured a spot on the All-Conference First-Team by way of a fourth place finish. Her time of 18:14 is a 21 second personal best and marks a three spot improvement from last year's conference meet.

Larissa Melendez was Adelphi's second runner once again. She placed 28th overall with a time of 19:28 while teammate Nicole Elarde was six seconds behind in 29th place. Making her season debut after being injured during the year, Kristina Coiro placed 55th overall with a time of 20:13 and was the Panther's fourth runner.

Cecilia Capozzoli capped the top-five after she earned a 66th place overall finish with a time of 20:26 for the 5k course. Merrimack placed fourth in the team standings with Bentley third.
