Springfield, Mass. - The Adelphi University women's tennis team secured the #2 seed in the Northeast-10 Conference tournament with a 9-0 win at American International College on Saturday. The Panthers finished the regular season 17-4 overall and 12-1 in the league, resulting in a three-way tie with Stonehill and Southern N.H. for the NE-10's best record.
Adelphi nearly assembled a perfect sweep of the Yellow Jackets, winning every doubles match 8-0 and all but one singles match 6-0, 6-0. With the win, the Panthers receive a bye into the Northeast-10 Conference Semifinals, and will host the winner of Merrimack and SNHU on Wednesday.
