Volleyball Up Ends Southern New Hampshire, 3-0

The Panthers rebound with a straight set win over the Penmen.

Box Score Manchester, NH - The Adelphi University volleyball team traveled to Manchester, New Hampshire to complete their two-day trip through the state with a contest against Southern New Hampshire on Saturday, November 3. The Panthers topped the Penmen, 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-16) to improve to 19-10 overall and 10-2 in the Northeast-10.

Chelsea Overholt led the Panther offense with 10 kills, while Kaitlyn DeStefano had nine kills and Haley Blunt added seven. Alayna Jackson paced the Adelphi attack with 20 set assists and Overholt was the lone Panther with double figure digs at 10.

The Brown and Gold picked up a 25-23 game one victory on the back of 16 kills and a hitting percentage of .343, while taking advantage of seven Penmen errors. The second game saw the hosts commit 10 errors, while Adelphi poured it on with 13 kills in a 25-16 win. The Panthers closed out the match in style with a 25-16 game three win, posting another strong attack percentage, .280.

Adelphi returns to action on Tuesday, November 6 when they travel to New Haven, Connecticut for a 7:00 pm contest with Southern Connecticut State University.
