Worchester, MA - In their first Northeast-10 Conference outing, the Adelphi University women's tennis team defeated the Assumption College Greyhounds 9-0 on Sunday. The Panthers improved their overall record to 2-0, while the Greyhounds remain winless at 0-6.
 
Adelphi prevailed in all doubles contests as well as all singles matches. Senior Maria Toft left her opponents scoreless, winning 8-0 with doubles partner Bianca Posa and went 6-0, 6-0 in singles play.
 
Junior Gaby Adia dominated at number 6 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0 to end the day.
 
The Panthers return to conference action Saturday October 6 to take on the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University.
