Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University women's tennis team climbed to 2-1 on the season with a 9-0 loss at Queens College on Saturday and a 6-3 home win over Holy Family on Sunday.
Freshman
Bianca Posa battled to the Panthers' most competitive finish in Saturday's setback, falling 7-5, 6-2 at #4 singles. Posa bounced back on Sunday, winning 6-2, 6-2 in singles action and pairing with junior
Maria Toft for an 8-3 win at the top doubles spot. Toft also helped lift Adelphi with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at #1 singles against Holy Family.
The Panthers return to action on Friday when they host Dowling at 3:30 p.m.
