Worcester, Mass. - The Adelphi University women's tennis team took on the Greyhounds of Assumption College this afternoon in Worcester, Mass. Adelphi swept doubles play en route to the 8-1 victory. The Panthers improve to 13-2 and 7-1 in the NE-10, while Assumption drops to 4-8 and 4-6.

Sophomore Maria Toft and senior Alda Ribeiro each picked up 6-0, 6-0 at #1 and #2 singles, respectively. Junior Carolyn Smith, freshman Gaby Adia, and sophomore Michelle Gurda also collected singles wins for the Panthers.

Adelphi also handled the Greyhounds in doubles action, sweeping them 8-2, 8-3, and 8-4.

The Panthers return to action tomorrow, April 10, when they travel to take on Stonehill College at 12:00 p.m.
