Orlando, Fla. - The Adelphi University women's tennis team took on Florida Southern University yesterday afternoon in a non-conference match-up. The Panthers were shut out by Florida Southern, 9-0, dropping their first match of the season. Florida Southern improves to 8-2, while Adelphi falls to 8-1.

The Moccasins allowed just two points in winning the three doubles matches, then took all six singles matches in straight sets. Laura Wichmann won her match at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0, after teaming with Crystal Copeland to win 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.

The Panthers return to action today, March 17, when they take on Tiffin University in Orlando, Florida.
