Manchester, N.H. - The Adelphi University field hockey team dropped a 2-1 decicsion in Northeast-10 Conference action at Saint Anselm College on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks handed Adelphi its seventh loss in eight games, and the Panthers move to 5-8 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Saint Anselm sophomore Elizabeth Sears notched the game winner with 8:11 to play, severing a 1-all tie that resulted from a Crystal Gray goal off a penalty corner early in the second half. Jeanette Heimerle assisted on the play, and junior goalie Kristine Puzio made six saves in the defeat. 

The Panthers return to action tomorrow when they head to Saint Michael's College for a 1 p.m. conference contest.
