Swimming Cruises Past Post University

Men roll to 42-4 win, Women earn 34-24 victory

Zachary Terzano won the mixed 1000 yard freestyle by over a minute.
Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University swim team cruised to a commanding win over Post University on Saturday in its second meet of the season. The men's squad posted a commanding 42-4 win and placed first in every event, while the women won all but four events and won 34-24.

Zachary Terzano swam to the largest margin of victory of the meet, winning the mixed 1000 yard freestyle by well over a minute with a time of 11:11.45. Michael Mayer and William Gerard posted big wins as well, taking dominant victories in the men's 200 yard individual medley and 100 yard freestyle respectively.

On the women's side, Ana Galesic led the way with two first place finishes. Galesic won the 200 yard freestyle in 2:12.18 and also took the top spot in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:29.17.

The Panthers are slated for their first road meet of the season on November 5 when they take on Montclair State University at 1 p.m.
