AIC Box Score/Molloy Box Score

The Adelphi University volleyball team played host to AIC in a Northeast-10 Conference clash and followed that up with a non-conference match-up against Molloy on Saturday, September 25. The Panthers managed a hard fought, 3-0 against win over AIC in game one and then picked up a, 3-0 win Molloy in game two. With the victories Adelphi improves to 6-5 overall and 2-0 in the Northeast-10.
Adelphi vs. AIC
Adelphi held AIC to just nine kills, while producing 12 of their own in a 25-16 opening game victory. The Panthers followed that effort up with a 14 kill performance in game two that netted a 25-19 win. Game three was a more back and forth battle, as AIC managed 15 kills to Adelphi's 12, but the Panthers came out on top, 25-22.
Hilary Pavels led the offense with 11 kills, while Chelsea Overholt had nine kills on just 17 attempts and Emily Dorko chipped in eight kills. Heather Mau had 18 digs and Katie Bryson collected a game-high 31 assists.
Adelphi vs. Molloy
Adelphi used tremendous defensive play in their, 3-0 win over Molloy, holding the Lions to attack percentages of -.10, .00 and .00 and to a total of just 19 kills, while posting 39 of their own. The Panthers blanked the visiting Lions with victories of 25-17, 25-15 and 25-17.
Overholt led the offense with 12 kills, while Dorko, Pavels and Samantha Rico had six each. Mau led the Panthers with 16 digs, as Alexandra Kahen chipped in eight and Erika Loomer had a game-high 20 assists.
Adelphi returns to action on Sunday, September 26 when they play host to the College of St. Rose in an NE-10 clash at 1:00 pm.
