The Adelphi University women's tennis team hosted the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University on Sunday afternoon in a Northeast-10 Conference match. The women blanked the Ravens, 9-0. The Panthers improve to 3-0 and 1-0 in the NE-10, while Franklin Pierce falls to 0-2 and 0-2 in the league.
Adelphi had 10 different players win at least one match on Sunday, including a pair of players who won at both singles and doubles. Senior Alda Ribeiro led the charge for the Panthers, as she teamed with sophomore Maria Toft to post an 8-1 win at first doubles before picking up a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at second singles.
The Panthers return to action on Friday, September 24 when they host Caldwell College in a non-conference match at 3:00 p.m.
