The first overtime period opened with both teams having a shot each on goal, but AIC goalkeeper Kara Potts and Connolly came up with big saves to keep their respected teams in the game.

AIC was then able to get on the board with 4:21 left on the clock in the second overtime frame when Sarah Tomlinson sent a ball into the box that Samantha Larson buried for the game-winner.

AIC out shot the Panthers 30-17 and also held a 6=5 advantage in corners. Potts recorded 11 saves in the double overtime win, while Connolly set aside 12 shots in defeat.
