Women's Tennis Picks Up Second Straight Win With 5-4 Decision Over Chestnut Hill

The Adelphi University women's tennis team traveled to Philadelphia, Pa. to take on Chestnut Hill College Saturday afternoon. Down 2-1 after doubles play, AU climbed back to take the match, 5-4. The Panthers improve to 2-0, while Chestnut Hill drops to 1-2.

Senior Megan Margino and junior Carolyn Smith earned the lone victory during doubles play as they cruised to an 8-0 win at third-flight.

Sophomore Maria Toft would start off singles play with a win for the Panthers (6-2, 4-6, 6-4). After dropping the next two sets, a trio of freshmen would all earn wins at #4-#6 singles, respectively, securing the win (Gaby Adia, Sophie Lanter, and Samra Redzematovic).

The Panthers return to action on Friday, September 17 when they travel to take on cross-town rival C.W. Post at 3:30 p.m.
