Men's Tennis Holds On For 6-3 Victory Over STAC

The Adelphi University men's tennis team traveled to Sparkill, New York to take on St. Thomas Aquinas in a non-conference match yesterday afternoon. Adelphi went on to win, 6-3, improving to 6-2 overall on the season.

After the Panthers dropped the first two mathces during singles play, they won the next four to secure the match victory. Anton Voynov started things off at #3 singles by winning a 10-4 tie-breaker, followed by Adrish Tewarie winning, 6-0, 6-3. Leonard Bruno cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at #5 singles, while Gaetan Georges collected a win at #6 singles, 6-0, 6-2.

Voynov and Bandar Kayali teamed up at #1 doubles for an 8-4 victory, with Joseph Carbone and Tewarie picking up the 8-1 victory at #3 doubles.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, April 10 when they travel to Waltham, Massachusetts to take on Bentley University at 3:30 p.m.
