The Adelphi University women's tennis team hosted the Warriors on Merrimack College on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers went on to defeat the Warriors, 7-2, improving to 11-0 and 8-0 in the Northeast-10.

After falling at #1 and #2 singles, the Panthers rallied back to win the next four sets. Sophomore Carolyn Smith won at #3 singles, 8-2 (Pro Set), while freshman Michelle Gurda won at #4 singles. Senior Amanda Aniboli earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory at #5 singles, and Jamie Sussman rounded out singles play with a #6 singles victory.

Adelphi swept through doubles play with freshman Maria Toft and junior Alda Ribiero earning an 8-2 victory at #1 doubles.

The Panthers return to action tomorrow when they host Southern New Hampshire University.
