The Adelphi University women's tennis team visited Assumption College Saturday afternoon in a Northeast-10 Conference match. Adelphi defeated the Greyhounds, 9-0, improving to 10-0 and 7-0 in the NE-10.

Adelphi cruised through singles play, highlighted by freshman Maria Toft winning at #1 singles, 6-1, 6-1. Toft improves to 10-0 in singles play, while improving to 7-0 at #1 singles. Freshman Michelle Gurda, who is also undefeated in singles play, 9-0, won her match at #4 singles, 6-3, 6-0.

Toft and junior Alda Ribeiro improved to 5-0 at #1 doubles with a convincing 8-3 victory. Gurda and junior Nicole Byrnes eanred an 8-1 win at #2 doubles, while sophomore Carolyn Smith and junior Megan Margino won at #3 doubles, 8-4.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, March 27 when they host Merrimack College in a conference match at 1:00 pm.
