Baseball Comes Away With 11-7 Victory Over Nyack

The Adelphi University baseball team took on Nyack College in a non-conference contest yesterday afternoon at the Santaluces Sports Complex in Lantana, Florida. Nine of the Panthers' 11 runs came in the first inning. Adelphi improves to 11-2 with the win.

After the Panthers exploded for nine runs in the first inning, they came right back to add two more in the second. Senior Mike Bartlett got the win, throwing six innings and striking out 11 in the process. Sophomore Thomas Donohue pitched three innings, gave up three hits and struck out two in relief. 

Senior Justin Ciamillo, sophomore T.J. Humrich, freshman Nick Pomo-Roman, sophomore Robert Eysel, and senior Chris Weidlein all had two hits and two RBI for AU. Weidlein's two RBI came on a two-run home run.

The Panthers return to action tonight as they take on Nova Southeaster University at 6:00 pm in Fort-Lauderdale Davie, Florida.
