The Adelphi University women's basketball team fell to LeMoyne College, 50-41, this afternoon at Ted Grant Court. The Dolphins improve to 7-15, 4-13 in the conference, while the Panthers drop to 3-19 and 0-17 in the Northeast-10.

Both team struggled in the first half, but the Panthers managed to shoot better than the Dolphins. Adelphi led through the first 13 minutes of play until a three-pointer by Ashley McFarlin put LeMoyne ahead, 13-11, at 6:40. A Caiafa trifecta at 4:14 gave the Panthers the lead and sparked a 7-0 run. Adelphi led by six, 20-14, at intermission.
The Dolphins responded by opening the second half with seven unanswered points to take a one point lead, 21-20, at 17:50. Alexis Williams knocked down the three-pointer to push the Panthers ahead as they held on to as much as a six point lead for the second part of the half. Adelphi was up, 39-36, with eight minutes remaining in the contest, when LeMoyne charged back on a 8-2 run to knot the score at 41 at 5:05. The Panthers would not have another basket, as the Dolphins closed on a 9-0 run.
Brittany Davis led LeMoyne off the bench with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Danielle Felice chipped in 11 points.
Adelphi returns to action Tuesday, February 9, as they travel to Albany, New York to take on the College of Saint Rose at 5:30 p.m.
