Box Score

Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University women's basketball team outscored Pace University, 33-27, in the second half, but were unable to erase a first half deficit, falling 76-44. The Setters improve to 16-5 and 13-3 in the Northeast-10, while the Panthers fall to 3-18 and still in search of a conference with at 0-16.

Freshman Kara Tancredi led all players with 17 points, while junior Ashley Caiafa had 10 points.

The Panthers were out of sync in the first half as they struggled to find their groove, converting on just 4-of-25 from the field. In contrast, the Setters shot 54.3 percent, including 6-of-11 from beyond the arc. Adelphi trailed by 38 points at the half, 49-11.

The Setters remained consistent in the second half, with the Panther improving their game significantly. Tancredi had 13 points in the second half to help Adelphi outscore Pace, but it was not enough to close the large gap.

Taylor Losey led a balanced attack for Pace with 16 points. Carol Johnson had 15 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Lisa Welsome and Maral Javadifar each chipped in 12 points.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, February 6, as they travel to Syracuse, New York to take on LeMoyne College.
