Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University sophomore Issa Tall (Mulhouse, France) and junior Theresa Murphy (East Northport, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi University Athletes of The Week for the week of November 1, 2010.

Tall led Adelphi's offensive explosion on Saturday night as he netted two goals in Adelphi's, 4-0 victory over ASC rival NJIT. Tall scored Adelphi's two middle goals, finding the back of the net in the 35th minute off of a John Koutsounadis through ball and again in the 70th minute. He now has four goals and eight points, which lead the Panthers. For his efforts he was named ASC Player of The Week.

Adelphi returns to action on Wednesday, November 3 when they travel to Manhattan, New York to take on Columbia at 7:00 pm.

In a 2-1 week for Adelphi, Murphy anchored the Panthers' defense and also provided the team with two scores. Her first goal came in a 2-1 double overtime win over Bentley University, and the second came the following day in a 4-1 victory over Merrimack College. For her efforts she was named NE-10 Defensive Player of The Week.

Murphy and the Panthers return to action today, November 2, as they travel to take on Assumption College at 4:00 p.m.
