Bridgeport, CT - The Adelphi University volleyball team traveled to Bridgeport, Connecticut to take on the region's top ranked team Bridgeport on Friday, October 22. The Panthers dropped a three set contest to the Purple Knights, 3-0 and fall to 13-8 overall with the loss, while the Purple Knights improve to 19-2.

Adelphi played strong in set one, posting 13 kills and an attack percentage of .216, however Bridgeport countered with 17 kills and an attack percentage of .385, taking set one 25-19. From there the Purple Knights defense took control as Adelphi could muster just 19 kills combined in sets two and three, falling 25-17 and 25-16.

Hilary Pavels led the Panthers with 12 kills and 11 digs, while Bree Popham and Heather Mau chipped in 11 digs each. Mau also led the Panthers in assists with 22.

The Panthers return to the court on Sunday, October 24 when they travel to Syracuse, New York for a 1:00 pm meeting with LeMoyne.
