Adelphi would answer back with three straight unanswered scores. Sophomore Cassie Cabral sent a tap-pass in front of the net where junior Julianne Gerbino found the back of the cage to even the score at 1-1.
A little more than three minutes after Gerbino's tally, classmate Brittany Kinsley, who took the penalty corner, would score the Panthers' second goal with the assist from Gerbino. Junior Jeanette Heimerle would give AU a two-goal lead when she scored an unassisted goal at the 27-minute mark.

Just like in the first half, the Owls would get on the board to start the second when Ann Farrier netted an unassisted score to cut the Panthers' lead in half. With 19:48 left in regulation, senior Lindsay Williams set up Heimerle for an insurance goal and the junior's second of the contest.
