Garden City, NY - Sophmore Mychael Fabio (Huntington, NY) and junior Danielle Lyons (Glastonbury, CT) have been selected as Adelphi's Athletes of the Week for the week of January 25.

Sophomore long sprinter Mychael Fabio placed third in the 400 meter dash at the Great Dane Classic in New York, New York on Friday, January 22. his time of 48.27 is currently the top time in the Northeast-10 by over half a second and second in Division II.

Junior middle distance runner Danielle Lyons placed in the top six in two events at the Great Dane Class, scoring nine of Adelphi's 12 points. Lyons set a school record in the mile when she crossed the line in 5:13.73, which is third in the Northeast-10 and was sixth overall, scoring out of the unseeded section. She also placed third in the 800 meter run in a Northeast-10 leading time of 2:17.78.

The Panthers will race again February 5 at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational.
