Men's Soccer Win's Fifth in a Row Over St. Peter's, 3-0

Englewood Cliffs, NJ - The Adelphi University men's soccer team traveled to Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey on Wednesday, September 30 to take on St. Peter's College. The Panthers scored early in the first half and then got two insurance goals in the second half to push their current win streak to five. With the victory Adelphi improves to 6-1-2 overall, while St. Peter's falls to 2-5.

Johann Craan got things going early for the Panthers, as he netted Adelphi's first goal just 9:22 into the contest. Craan's first goal in an Adelphi uniform came courtesy of a Michael Aquino assist.

Adelphi continued to control play in the second half and found the back of the St. Peter's goal again as Issa Tall collected a James Diana feed and pushed the Panther lead to 2-0 in the 64th minute. Just three minutes later Brandon Stoneham put the game out of reach as he picked up Adelphi's third tally of the game off of a Steven Rivera assist.

Thorne Holder kept the Peacocks at bay, making five stops to record his third shutout of the season.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, October 3 when they play host to Manhattan College at 6:30 pm.
