The Adelphi University volleyball team traveled to Albany, New York to complete their weekend action with a contest against Northeast-10 opponent St. Rose. The Panthers pushed their win streak to four with a 3-0 triumph over St. Rose, and remain unbeaten in Northeast-10 play. With the victory Adelphi improves to 12-6 overall and 3-0 in conference action, while St. Rose falls to 9-5 and 1-2.
Adelphi and St. Rose played tight the first game, with the hosts posting a better attack percentage (.310 - .244), but the Panthers pulled out a 25-23 win. The second game was all Adelphi, as the Panthers posted an attack percentage of .400 and cruised to a 25-10, before holding on for a 25-22 victory in game three for the match win.
Hilary Pavels continued her strong play, posting eight kills and adding 17 digs, while Heather Mau chipped in 31 assists and six digs. Amy Williams also reached double digit digs with 11 and Jennifer McKenna was one away with nine.
Adelphi returns to action on Friday, October 2 when they travel to Manchester, New Hampshire for a 7:30 pm meeting with St. Anselm.
