Volleyball Bounces AIC, Molloy By Identical, 3-0 Scores

Springfield, MA - The Adelphi University volleyball team traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts on Saturday, September 26 to take on Northeast-10 opponent AIC and Long Island rival Molloy. The Panthers picked up wins over both the Yellowjackets and the Lions by identical 3-0 scores. With the sweep Adelphi improves to 11-6 overall and 2-0 in the Northeast-10.

In the first match Adelphi cruised through the first two games, 25-18 and 25-12, but were pushed to the limit in game three, winning 27-25. Hilary Pavels led the attack with 14 kills, while Heather Mau added 30 assits and 13 digs. Both Amy Williams and Jennifer McKenna reached double digit digs as well with 10 apiece.

Adelphi took care of Molloy in straight sets, 25-15, 25-20 and 25-11. Pavels had a game-high 13 kills and also had 10 digs in the victory, while Erika Loomer picked up 30 assists. Williams added nine digs and Kelsey Hackett chipped in seven kills.

The Panthers return to action on Sunday, September 27 when they travel to Albany, New York for a meeting with St. Rose.
