Garden City, NY - Junior Adam Clark (Wantagh, N.Y.) and junior Brianne McDonnell (Commack, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the Week for the week of September 21, 2009.

Clark led the Panthers to a fifth place finish, out of 37 competing teams, at the Umass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, September 19. His personal best time of 25:19 for the 8K course was good enough for 12th overall in the 267 runner field.

Cross Country returns to action Friday, October 2 at the Paul Short Run.

McDonnell helped Adelphi to a 2-0 week, that included wins over Pace University, 3-0 and Stonehill College, 1-0. She tallied one goal in each game, both of which proved to be the game winners.

Women's Soccer takes the field again Sunday, September 27 in a conference match against Merrimack at 1:00 PM.
