Raffle Prizes
The Adelphi University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will kick off the 3rd Annual Jennifer Montgomery Breast Cancer Awareness event on October 2 at the Adelphi Adult Fitness Program located in Woodruff Hall, beginning at 11:00a.m. Athletic Department staff, coaches and student-athletes will be in attendance.
Each of the fall sports teams will host "Think Pink" games in the month of October. The teams will warm up in the "Think Pink" shirts and will also provide a "pink" gift for the opposing teams.
Members of each of the 22 intercollegiate teams will also donate raffle baskets. The baskets, along with t-shirts, which are co-sponsored by the Student Government Association, pink hats and other pink items, will be sold throughout the month.
In addition, the Panthers have teamed up with EmBraceable You by Laura and Jo Ann, which produces
specialty bracelets. A percentage of the sales will go to the Hotline as well. Items will be sold at Homecoming and in the University
Center on October 29 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Additional dates may also be added.
The drawing for the raffle baskets will take place on October 30, in the atrium of the Center for Recreation & Sports at 12:00 p.m.

Men's Soccer, Saturday, October 3 vs. Manhattan College , 6:00 p.m.
Volleyball, Wednesday, October 7 vs. Pace University, 7:00 p.m.
Field Hockey, Tuesday, October 13 vs. Southern Conn. State, 7:00 p.m.
Women's Soccer-Saturday, October 24 vs. Bentley College, 2:30 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink. Cancer survivors will also be recognized in a special ceremony at halftime of all of these events. Be a part of Panther Athletics by supporting Breast Cancer Awareness and participate in the "Think Pink" games.
Other Events
Lee Denim Day, Friday, October 2- For Adelphi employees who donate $5 will be able to wear jeans to work. Student donations are also being accepted. Athletics, in the Center for Recreation & Sports, is an official drop off point for the donation!
Softball, Sunday, October 18: "Bat for A Cause" Batting Clinic, 9:00am-12 pm, Janet L. Ficke Field
Thursday, October 29-Shop at Bloomingdale's. For a $10 donation, get a ticket good for 10-15% off most items in the store. An additional $5 will go to the Hotline for each ticket redeemed at the store (no store purchase required).
All proceeds from the month will be donated to the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Awareness Hotline & Support Program. Last year, the Panthers donated over $6,000 in Jennifer's name to the hotline, bringing the two year total to just over $12,000! Click here to from last year's successful event.
