Garden City, NY - Freshman James Diana (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and senior Amy Williams (Bloomington, IN) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the week for the week of November 2, 2009.

Diana had a career day on October 30 against NJIT, scoring one goal and assisting on another in the Panthers 3-1 victory over the Highlanders. Diana scored Adelphi's second goal, which would become the game winner and also assisted on the first.

Men's soccer continues their battle in the ASC Tournament Semifinal in Farmville, VA on November 13 at 3 PM.

Williams helped the Panthers to a 2- 0 week, that included wins over UMass-Lowell (3-1) and Merrimack (3-0). In two matches she accumulated 47 digs, including 30 in the Panthers victory over the Riverhawks. She averaged 6.71 digs per game on the weekend.

Volleyball takes the court at home this Friday November 6 at 7 PM.
