Garden City, NY - Senior Kevin Gluchowski (Carmel, N.Y./Siena) and junior Hilary Pavels (North Woodmere, N.Y./Valley Stream South) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the week for the week of Novemeber 16, 2009.

Gluchowski played a key role in the Panthers successful quest to capture the ASC Tourney title last weekend. He converted a header and scored from thirty-five yards out in Adelphi's 3-0 win over NJIT. Gluchowski also scored out of a corner kick in the Panther's 2-1 win over Longwood. The three tallies are the first three goals of his collegiate career. Gluchowski was also named to the College Soccer News National Team of The Week, as announced on Sunday, November 15.

Pavels was the only Panther named on the Northeast-10 First Team All Conference. In the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, Pavels led the team with 18 kills.

No. 4 Volleyball competes this Thursday, November 19 in the NCAA Division Semi-Final game at 5:00 PM against No. 5 Bentley.
