Tall got the Panther going in the 22nd minute as he ran onto a great through ball that came from John Koutsounadis and just moved around the Manhattan keeper and deposited the ball in the back of the net, giving Adelphi a 1-0 lead. The Panthers would enter the half with the same one goal advantage, thanks to two saves by Thorne Holder.

In the 54th minute of the second half an Adelphi striker was entering the Jasper penalty area when a Manhattan defender pulled him down by the jersey. The Panthers were awarded a penalty kick, which tall converted, beating Joseph Lorenz with a blast to the upper left side of the goal, making the score 2-0.

Quintel Gates closed out the scoring for Adelphi as Lorenz came off his line to collect a ball that was played into the Jasper box. The ball slipped through Lorenz's hands and Gates moved to the ball and sent it into the goal.

Holder picked up the shutout victory, making three saves, while Lorenz picked up six for Manhattan.

Adelphi returns to action on Wednesday, October 7 when they travel to Princeton, New Jersey to take on Princeton.
