Volleyball Silences Saint Anselm, 3-0

Manchester, NH - The Adelphi University volleyball team traveled to Manchester, New Hampshire on Friday, October 2 to face-off against Northeast-10 opponent Saint Anselm. The Panthers held of Hawks in game one, 25-21, but rolled to a 3-0 victory thanks to strong showings in game two and three. With the win Adelphi moves to 13-6 overall and a perfect 4-0 in Northeast-10 play, while Saint Anselm falls to 5-7 overall and 1-3 in the conference.

The Panthers never posted an attack percentage lower then .200, while forcing the Hawks into attack percentages of -0.18 and -0.09 in games two and three to secure the win. Adelphi took game one 25-21, including a .308 attack percentage and then rolled in games two and three, collecting wins of 25-10 and 25-16.

Hilary Pavels led the way on offense with eight kills and added 12 digs, while Bree Popham had a game-high 18 digs. Heather Mau had 18 assists and Kelsey Hackett controlled the net with four total blocks.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, October 3 when they take on St. Michael's College at 1:00 pm in Colchester, Vermont.
