Garden City, NY - Freshman Issa Tall (Mulhouse, France) and junior Heather Mau (Honolulu, HI) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the week for the week of October 19, 2009.

Tall helped Adelphi to a 3-1 win over Atlantic Soccer Conference opponent Longwood Tuesday, October 13, scoring all three Panther goals. Tall now leads the team with 11 goals and is also tops on the team with 23 points. He was also named Atlantic Soccer Conference (ASC) Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on October 19. This is the third ASC honor of the season for Tall.

Men's soccer returns to action Friday, October 30 at NJIT at 7 PM.

Mau had 95 assists on the week, averaging 11.88 per game in wins over Bentley and Stonehill that helped keep the Panthers perfect in Northeast-10 play at 9-0. She also added 24 digs, six service aces and two block assists on the week. She was also named Northeast-10 (NE-10) Setter of The Week as announced by the conference office on October 19. This is the first honor for Mau and the third for the program this season.

Volleyball takes the court again Friday, October 23 in a conference event at New Haven at 4 PM.
