Old Westbury, N.Y. - The Adelphi University volleyball team traveled to Old Westbury, New York on Tuesday, October 20 to take on former East Coast Conference rival NYIT. The Panthers had 31 kills in the first two games on the way to a 3-0 victory that pushed Adelphi's overall record to 19-6, while NYIT falls to 8-14.

The Panthers posted an attack percentage of .300 and had 15 kills in game one, while the host Bears managed an attack percentage of just .089, falling 25-21. Adelphi had 16 kills in the a game two, 25-20 win and then cruised to a win in the third game, posting just one error in a 25-13 triumph.

Chelsea Overholt led the Panther attack with 10 kills, while Patawe Simms chipped in nine. Heather Mau had 28 assists and Amy Williams added 18 digs, while Hilary Pavels had 12.

Adelphi returns to action on October 23 when they travel West Haven, Connecticut to take on Northeast-10 rival New Haven at 4:00 pm.
