The Adelphi University was in North Andover, Massachusetts this afternoon to take on #10 Merrimack College. With the game scoreless at the half, the Warriors found the back of the net twice in the second half for the victory. The win improves Merrimack to 10-7 and 5-3 in the Northeast-10, while Adelphi falls to 10-7 and 5-3 in the conference.

Both teams played to a scoreless tie in the first half with the Warriors holding a 10-5 advantage in shots, and the Panthers holding a 6-4 edge in penalty corners.

The second half was dominated by Merrimack, as they got off 19 shots and held Adelphi to just two, while holding the Panthers to no penalty corners and getting off seven of their own. Merrimack's first tally came 58:36 into the contest, when Sarah Salatto found Jaclyn Germano for her 13th goal of the season. The Warriors would then put the game out of reach when Katelin Gisonno tallied her third score of the season, with the assist coming from Kate Zubkus, off a penalty corner.

Kerri Bergquist stopped three shots en route to the shutout, while Lucia Vigliotti recorded 14 saves in a busy day in net for the Panthers.

The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, October 21 when they play host to Assumption College at 4:00 pm on Competition Field.
