Volleyball Vaults Past Assumption, 3-0

Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University volleyball team played host to Assumption on Saturday, October 10 in a Northeast-10 contest on the campus of Garden City, New York. Adelphi posted attack percentages over .500 in games one and two, picking up a 3-0 win. With the victory the Panthers run their win streak to eight games and sit at 16-6 overall and a flawless, 7-0 in conference play.

Adelphi blitzed Assumption in game one, racking up 16 kills and posting an attack percentage of .577 in a 25-9 win. Game two went even better as the Panthers won, 25-2 thanks to 14 kills and another attack percentage over .500 (.583). Assumption came alive in game three, but ultimately fell, 25-17.

Emily Dorko led the way offensively with 12 kills, while both Kelsey Hackett and Chelsea Overholt chipped in six. Erika Loomer had 26 assists and Amy Williams posted a game-high 16 digs and Alexandra Kahen also reached double figures with 10.

Adelphi returns to action on October 16 when they travel to Waltham, Massachusetts for a 7:30 pm meeting with Bentley.
