Results

Rockville Centre, NY - Traveling cross-town to the Anderson Recreation Center in Rockeville Centre, New York, the Adelphi Women's Tennis began their East Coast Conference (ECC) play with a 9-0 shut out against the Molloy College Lions. The win puts the Panthers at 3-0 overall, 1-0 ECC and the Lions drop to 1-4 overall, 0-2 ECC.

Alda Ribeiro and Carolyn Smith continued their strength at the singles top with both playing 6-0 victories in their four games combined. Megan Margino followed with a 6-0, 6-0 victory of her own against Megan McDevitto. Jamie Sussman, Kristina Radeva and captain Tricia Burns rounded out the Panthers' wins in singles play.

The Brown and Gold only gave up two games in doubles, combining for a 24-2 game record. Ribeiro and Margino led the charge in the number one position, while Smith and Sussman furthered their success in the number two positon. Burns and Radeva closed the Panthers ECC doubles opener with a 8-0 win over Annie Ayala and Tatiana Lopez.

The Panthers will continue ECC play when they travel to Brookville, NY to compete against LIU - C.W. Post. First serve is at 3:00 p.m.
