Brookville, N.Y. - The Adelphi University volleyball team traveled to Brookville, New York to take on cross town and East Coast Conference rival C.W. Post on October 2. The Panthers moved out to a 2-0 lead before being pushed to the edge in a game three win. The victory raises Adelphi's record to 13-5 overall and 5-1 in the ECC.

The Panthers won games one and two with relative ease, collecting a 25-17 victory in the first game and a 25-19 win in game two. The third game proved to be more of a struggle as the Pioneers came alive and knotted the game at 24. Adelphi took a 25-24 lead, but C.W. Post tied the game at 25 and again at 26 before the Panthers secured a 28-26 win.

Both Samantha Johnston and Kathleen Carney posted 10 kills, while Heather Mau picked up 29 assists and 14 digs. Johnston added 11 digs and Amy Williams picked up a game-high 16 digs.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, October 4 when the Panthers face Dowling and Umass-Lowell in Oakdale, New York.
