Garden City, NY - Adelphi Women's Tennis concluded their regular season with a home match against the Golden Lions of Dowling College. The Blue and Gold took seven matches as their own for an East Coast Conference (ECC) win, while the Panthers were only able to grab one. The Panther racket-women end their regular season play 6-6 overall, 3-3 in ECC, while the Golden Lions improve to 7-2 overall, 3-2 ECC.

It would be the freshman, Carolyn Smith, to strike first for the Panthers, when she moved passed Christine Hoffman Drummer 6-3, 6-2 in the number two spot singles. Her win would be the only won the Panthers would see on the day. Alda Ribeiro dueled with Tamiris Diversi in the the number one spot. Ribeiro forced a tie-breaking set, but came up short against the lead Golden Lion. Kristina Radeva also forced a tie-breaking set against her opponent Jennifer Tripp, also coming up short.

The Panthers now await news pertaining to the ECC Championships, scheduled to begin October 15. Information will be posted about a venue, start time and brackets when it becomes available.
