Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi baseball team jumped on visiting St. Rose early, building a 2-0 lead after three innings and went on two collect a 6-2 victory. The win raises Adelphi's record to 21-9 on the season, while St. Rose falls to 8-21.

Mike Colonna continued swinging his hot bat, going 2-3 with two RBI and one run scored, stroking a double and a triple. Mike Testani (2-4, 1 run, 1 RBI), Bobby Calca (3-3, 1 RBI) and Rob Paccione (2-3, 1 RBI) also had strong days at the plate for Adelphi.

Mike Bartlett picked up his first win of the season, throwing five innings of two-run baseball, striking out six. Mike Mongiello held the Golden Knights scoreless for three innings, while Chris Weidlein closed out the ninth, allowing one hit and striking out two.

The Panthers return to action on Friday, April 20 when they take on Caldwell.
