Bloomsburg, PA - The Adelphi University women's soccer team defeated Bloomsburg University, 1-0, in non-conference action this afternoon. The Panthers improve to 4-0-3 on the season, while the Huskies fall to 4-5-2.

Although Adelphi outshot Bloomsburg, 8-3, neither team was able to connect with the back of the net as the score remained knotted at zero.

Freshman Caitlin Morrison (Beacon, N.Y.) scored the game-winner in the 51st minute of the second half, as she sent a shot past Bloomsburg goalie Brittany Moses.

On the game, the Panthers outshot the Huskies, 13-7, and had a 10-1 corner kick advantage.

Junior Christine Conway (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) made two saves in goal for the Panthers to record her third shutout of the season. Moses had five stops for the Huskies.

Adelphi returns to conference play on Tuesday, September 26, traveling to Bronxville, N.Y. to take on Concordia College.
