Adelphi held a slight 5-3 shot advantage over C.W. Post in the first half as both teams fought for position. At intermission the score was deadlocked, 0-0.

Post defender and booted in by Hess. The Pioneers managed to tie the game with less than four minutes on the clock as Lindsay Nick (Hauppauge, N.Y.) scored from 18-yards out on a feed from Meaghan Glibowski (Holbrook, N.Y.). The final minutes ran down to force overtime.

During the final 20 minutes of this physical contest, neither team was able to connect with the back of the net.
