West Haven, CT - The Adelphi volleyball team traveled to West Haven, Connecticut on Thursday, September 21 to take on conference opponent New Haven. The Panthers played the Chargers tough, but fell 20-30, 24-30 and 30-32. With the loss Adelphi falls to 9-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play, while New Haven improves to 9-5 overall and 3 remains unbeaten in conference action at 3-0.

Helena Castro and Rhe-Ann Niles led the Charger attack with 11 kills apiece, while Carolina Ribeiro totaled a game-high 33 assists.

Kathleen Creegan (North Bellmore, N.Y.) was the only Panther to post a double-digit kills total with 10, while Brittany Addeo (Minden, NV) collected 27 assists. Samantha Johnston (Port Jervis, N.Y.) picked up 12 digs in the loss.

Volleyball returns to action on Thursday, September 28 when they play host to Bridgeport at 7:00 pm in Woodruff Hall.
