The Adelphi men's basketball team traveled to Sparkill, New York on Saturday, December 9 to take on East Coast Conference (ECC) foe St. Thomas Aquinas. The Panthers found themselves trailing 36-23 at the half and could not recover, falling 64-54 to the Spartans. With the loss Adelphi falls to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the ECC.
Akeem Comas led all scorers with 16 points and chipped in five steals and four rebounds. The host Spartans also got nine points out of four other players in the win.
Adelphi was led by Donnell Cummings (South Ozone Park, N.Y.) and Samuel Jenkins (Brooklyn, N.Y.) who were good for 15 points each. Kimani Blaize (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was the only other Panther to reach double figures, scoring 13 points.
The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, December 13 when they play host to Mercy College at 5:30 pm in Woodruff Hall.
