The Adelphi men's basketball team held Concordia to just seven field goals in the first half, building a, 33-22, halftime lead on the way to a 74-62 victory. With the win the Panthers even their East Coast Conference (ECC) mark at 1-1 and their overall record at 2-2, while dropping the Clippers to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the ECC.
Richard Fields led Concordia with 14 points, while William Cherry and Kenny Gaskins chipped in 13 points each. Gaskins also added a team-high seven rebounds and two steals.
The Panthers were led by Mike Mosy (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), who picked up his second double-double of the season, dropping a game-high 21 points on the Clippers and pulling down 11 misses. Kimani Blaize (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Samuel Jenkins (Brooklyn, N.Y.) also went for double digits, scoring 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Adelphi returns to action on December 9 when they travel to Sparkill, New York for a 3:00 pm match-up with St. Thomas Aquinas College.
