Men's Soccer Stopped By Columbia, 2-0

New York, N.Y. - The Adelphi men's soccer team traveled to Columbia University on Tuesday, October 24 to take on Columbia. The Panther defense held strong for most of the game, but the Lions broke through on two occasions and Adelphi could not recover, falling 2-0. With the loss, the Panthers drop to 8-6-1 on the season, while the Lions improve to 7-6-2.

Columbia netted their first goal in the 34th minute of action when Tom Smith collected a feed from Scott Waddell and slipped the ball past Adelphi goalkeeper Michael Hurley (Freeport, N.Y.). The second Lion goal came in the second half off the foot of Tom Davison, Alex Haring and Smith were each credited with an assist.

Hurley finished the match with four saves, while Columbia's Michael Testa made six stops.

The Panthers close out their regular season at home on October 28 against Atlantic Soccer Conference rival NJIT.
