New York, N.Y. - The Adelphi University volleyball team defeated Pace University 30-22, 30-28, 30-28 in non-conference action on Tuesday evening. The Panthers improve to 7-9 on the season, while the Setters pick up their fourth straight loss to fall to 4-10.

Adelphi was led by junior Rachael Cornick with 11 kills and nine digs. Junior Kelly Campbell added 10 kills and two digs.

After taking game one, the Panthers found themselves trailing 15-26 in game two. Adelphi used a 15-2 run to win the game, 30-28. The Setters kept it close in game three but were unable to sustain a rally.

The Panthers return to action this Friday and Saturday, September 30-October 1, at the Bentley Tournament in Waltham, Mass.
